Level 1: The emergency solution
If you have an electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle, you already have a Level 1 charger. This charger can be plugged into any residential socket, so you can practically charge anywhere. There are however significant drawbacks:

Level 3 (DC) – for trips and emergencies
When you need to recharge you vehicle as quickly as possible, you will need to find a Level 3 charging station in your area. These chargers are are capable of recharging an electrical vehicle for 100km in just about 20 minutes. Keep in mind that these stations use either a CCS 2 (combo) or CHAdeMO connector and the compatibility varies among various vehicles.
